What items the Restore does NOT take for Resale

We’ll take a huge variety of donated items and very much appreciate your generosity, but there are a items we don’t currently accept for resale in our store:

  • DUE TO A NEW FEDERAL LAW, THE RESTORE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT MOST USED KITCHEN AND BATH FAUCETS, HOT WATER HEATERS, DISHWASHERS, PIPES, PIPE FITTINGS, OR ANY OTHER DEVICE OR APPLIANCE THAT PROVIDES OR TRANSPORTS WATER FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
  • Computer Equipment
  • Typewriters of any kind (manual, electric, memory)
  • Old TVs for Recycling…Sorry! We are looking for a new recycler, but for now, please do NOT bring old TVs
  • TVs for Resale that are older than 2008
  • Florescent Light bulbs & CFL bulbs
  • Windows that are
    • More than 10 years old
    • Single Pane
    • Wood Frames
    • In Poor Condition
  • Bi-fold doors that are:
    • Hollow
    • Flat panel
  • Doors that are hollow core flat panel
  • Furniture in poor condition
  • Window treatments (i.e. blinds, rods, cornices, curtains)
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Playground equipment; baby furniture; toys; games
  • Clothing; linens; dishes; flatware, pots and pans; etc.
  • Hazardous fluids, chemicals, caustic materials, solvents
  • Paints or stains in rusty cans
  • Oil-based or lead-based paints
