TITLE: ReStore Manager
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
DIRECT REPORTS: Assistant ReStore Manager and all
volunteers
SUMMARY: The mission of the Habitat for Humanity
of Clinton County ReStore is to generate revenue through the sale of donated
building materials and household items to support the objectives of Habitat in
providing decent, affordable housing to qualified residents in Clinton County,
Michigan. The ReStore Manager will
work 32 hours per week and supervise the day-to-day operations, including
acquisition and sale of used, new, and surplus building materials, and
represent Habitat and the ReStore at public and community events. Commitment to the Habitat mission, high
energy, attention to detail, outstanding customer service skills and a positive
attitude is a must. The ideal
candidate would desire to work with a non-profit organization for a sense of
fulfillment to further an important cause and where salary is not the highest
priority.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities
- Maintain and standardize
pricing, discounts, and volunteer responsibilities.
- Demonstrate and train
staff in outstanding service to customers, donors and volunteers.
- Ensure store is
adequately staffed at all times.
- Ensure compliance with
safety standards and comply with accident procedures.
- Ensure proper
maintenance of facility, equipment, and vehicles.
- Recommend policy for
sales, salvage, material acquisition and staffing.
- Facilitate a positive,
team-oriented environment in which all staff and volunteers are given the
opportunity to achieve their full potential.
- ·Participate in
developing, rolling out and measuring marketing programs, including online
programs, to increase donations, sales, volunteer participation and community
outreach.
- Provide accurate
accounting records of revenues and expenses as required or requested.
- Ensure monthly expenditures
are within budget.
- Other duties as
required.
Required
Skills/Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years
responsible leadership, directing successful teams and accountable for meeting
objectives.
- Demonstrates commitment
and promotes a positive image of Habitat’s mission.
- Possess the ability to
adapt to a changing environment and unexpected shifts in priorities.
- Is self-motivated and
possesses effective problem-solving, communication and listening skills.
- Computer skills
including word processing, spreadsheets, Facebook, Craigslist and other online
sites.
- Experience with online
marketing and sales desired.
- Knowledge of the Clinton
County Michigan community a plus.
- Must have valid, current
and unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and insurance.
- Must be able to lift 50
pounds.
